with small and big kids alike, Cake n Candy have been involved with the modern day illuminations since the first one back
in 2004. Candy is a highly skilled stilt walker, juggler and all round circus act performer.
A member of the Equity Artists Union, she has performed at over 500 events throughout the United Kingdom. Over the
years she has always entertained and enthralled visitor to the illuminations. Never one to turn down a photo opportunity,
Candy's ability to engage and interact with the audience has undoubtedly helped give many children memories of the illuminations
that will stay with them forever. This year she returns as Alva Glen's Tallest Illuminated Faerie, ready
to greet you at the entrance and welcome you to a night of mystical beauty. The one night in the year where faeries, elves,
humans and many other creatures of the glen come together to celebrate life and enjoy the spirit of community. The air filled with electric anticipation, the glen providing the earthly backdrop and gently rumbling waters. There's only one element missing - Fire! Enter the Dragon (aka Cake). Since 2004 Cake has entertained us with his stilt
walking, unicycling and juggling skill. This year he returns once more to set the illuminations alight with his stunning ability
to control and juggle with fire.

Other performance acts involve:
Balance and manipulation with balls, clubs, staffs, ribbons, feathers, bubbles, plate spinning, Walkabout puppet characters.
Themed Stiltwalkers: inc' fairies, clowns, cowgirl, golfer, disco, viking, maskerade, moulin rouge , feather costumed showgirls, medieval, halloween, christmas, for meet and greet, walkabout events. Bespoke costumes can be arranged.
Fire shows: where manipulation of fire is involved using fire clubs for juggling, swinging and dancing, fire poi /twirling, staff spinning, and balance tricks.Other skills used are knife juggling and juggling on stilts, unicycles, wire and globe /balls.
Urban Circus street entertainers are ideal additions to most events such as: galas, fetes, fundays, shopping mall promotions, corporate and private partys, market fairs, market festivals corporate meet and greet, photo shoots, stage, arena, clubs, pubs, shop front promotions and TV commercial work, school workshops/activities and performances, community centre groups, community parades, scout and girl guide activity weekends / circus badge workshops.
Along with performing ourselves we have been connecting performing circus and street artists with clients since 1999 and have an excellent reputation for supplying experienced and qualified performers to various clients throughout the entertainment industry. All performers are Equity Members and carry public liability insurances of £10M.
